What If Your Love Language Is Different?

People communicate in many different ways. It stems from body language to texting to eye contact and facial gestures. Each communication piece can be perceived differently however. A text can be implied differently than speaking it because you can't get any emotion or body language from a text. However, love is such an intense emotion, and the communication and body language we use becomes even more complex. To break it down, we use the following main types of love languages when we express our love including: acts of service, words of affirmation, gifts, quality time, and physical touch. Sometimes your language preference is different from your partners and visa verse. This leads to a feeling of miscommunication and ultimate insecure thoughts that the love of your life just doesn't love you anymore. What you need to do is identify your love communication as well as your partner's and start "talking the same language" that your partner understands. It does not mean sacrificing your needs completely, only that you need to learn how to translate what you want to say, into the language your partner speaks.
